Luxury Glamping in the American West

In this technology-driven world, we yearn to disconnect from our phones and reconnect with nature – but that doesn’t mean we want to rough it. Enter Glamping (as in “glamorous camping”), the luxury camping trend that brings hotel amenities to the great outdoors for those that would balk at the idea of pitching a real camping tent.

What kind of bed can you expect at a glampsite? How about king size beds, 1,500 thread count linens, down comforters and designer-curated blankets? While most tents have electricity, some have wi-fi and charging stations, while others feature an “off the grid” no wi-fi experience that fosters connections with family and friends.

How does glamping handle the call of nature? Private, en-suite bathrooms with rain-style shower, full flushing toilet and hot running water are complemented by spa robes and plush towels. Rugs, lamps and a wood-burning stove for heat round things out nicely. Some tents are made for two people while “family tents” have curtain dividers and up to 3-4 beds.

And almost right outside your door is Yellowstone National Park, Mount Rushmore, the Grand Canyon or a number of other beautiful locations. Imagine waking up in your luxury bed listening to the birds sing outside your tent, then coming outside for a hearty and healthy breakfast that will power you through the days activities!

Speaking of activities, I can arrange unique activities like wolf tracking, kayaking, whitewater rafting, geyser tours or just a guided hike with a local naturalist. After a day of exploring the natural world around you, come back for a hot shower or nap and then enjoy your favorite beverage around the campfire with your loved ones.
