Mexico Offers a Safe & Close Getaway

Mexico has quickly become the number 1 tourist destination in the world during Covid-19.

The country was the first to re-open its major tourist destinations back at the beginning of

June and fatigued Americans are flocking south of the border for sun and relaxation.

Cancun was the first city in the world to receive the WTTC Safe Travel Stamp and has already received millions of visitors since opening in June. Since then, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos and Mazatlan have also earned the same designation. Mexico has never implemented border closures and tourists have never been stranded.

The easy entry requirement specifics include no quarantine or mandatory testing upon arrival (unless you are exhibiting symptoms). Many hotels are at 30% to 60% capacity depending on the region. Measures have been put in place to safely receive travelers. The buffets are gone, but replaced by menu service. The pool chairs have been spaced out more and masks are required in public areas. QR codes provide information for restaurant menus, spa treatments and even safe excursion opportunities.

So that travelers can make a decision for themselves, I will mention that the CDC still

recommends travelers avoid all non-essential travel to Mexico. But on September 8th, the United States dropped its Level 4 “Do Not Travel” designation and downgraded it to Level 3

“Reconsider Travel”.

While dense urban areas like Mexico City may not be the best choice now, open air beach

resorts in Cancun, Cabo, Puerto Vallarta , Punta Mita and other resort towns offer a safer experience. Pictured above is the fabulous Four Seasons Punta Mita, which features a prime location on the Pacific coast. Choose from two secluded beaches, the family friendly Lazy River, the adults only Tamai Pool and the Instagram worthy infinity-edge Nuna Pool overlooking the ocean.

Allow me to research and select a safe and relaxing resort for you that will re-charge your batteries and lift you out of the day to day hangover of this pandemic fatigue we all feel. Often times I can get you Virtuoso perks like room upgrades, early check-in & late check-out, and free breakfast. Contact me today for your escape to paradise!
